Explore the Preseli Hills and North Pembrokeshire by bike. Whether your passion is Road, Gravel or Mtb, we are in the perfect place to begin your adventure.

Gravel -With endless quiet lanes, forest trails and miles of bridle ways, you can explore for hours, losing yourself in the breathtaking beauty of our county. We are well off the beaten track with a bridleway right across the farm so you don’t even need to get in the car.

There is always something to stop and explore. Old ruins, ancient monuments, neolithic archaeology, abandoned slate mine. And don’t forget Pembrokeshire has one of the most stunning coastlines in the UK

Road – If you like variable terrain then this is the place for you, you’ll find flat, hilly or an undulating mix of the two. From the scenic beauty at the top of the Preseli hills down to the dramatic coastline, there are roads to suit everyone and we have plenty of cafes for that all important coffee stop.

Mtb – If off-road is your thing you can start on the bridleway outside the door. Easy access to the Golden way which runs across the top of the Preseli Hill or down into the Gwaun valley and up Carn Ingli. A short road ride will get you to Pantmaenog forest and the old slate quarry at Rosebush. Llys-y-fran country park and reservoir (10 miles by road) has family friendly trails and some “challenging technical tracks for more experienced riders”.

There are OS Explorer maps in both the Cottage and the Refuge so you can plan your routes. If you want some advice Ian is a cyclist and is happy to share his local knowledge in all three disciplines.
